Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Who we are

TryShopper ("we", "us") operates the TryShopper platform in Nigeria and connects individuals who request personal shopping with shoppers who fulfil those requests. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our websites, apps, and related services.

2. Nigeria (NDPR) and your rights

We aim to process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, where applicable, the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) framework. Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to lodge a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). To exercise rights or ask questions, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Nothing in this policy is legal advice. If you need advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

3. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you register, create orders, complete shopper verification, or contact support. This may include name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, shopping lists, verification documents submitted by shoppers, and messages you send us. Payment details are processed by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may also collect device, log, and usage data to operate and secure the service.

4. How we use your information

We use personal data to provide and improve TryShopper, match orders with shoppers, process payments, communicate about orders and your account, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and resolve disputes. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing your information

We share what is needed to run the service: for example, order and delivery details with assigned shoppers, and payment-related data with payment processors. We may share information with service providers who assist us (such as hosting, email, or analytics) under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Data security and retention

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. We retain data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute resolution purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. International transfers

Where we use providers outside Nigeria, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for your personal data, consistent with applicable requirements.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, where changes are material, provide notice as appropriate (for example by email or in-app).
