Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

These terms apply to your use of TryShopper in Nigeria. Additional rules may apply to specific roles; see the sections for individuals (customers) and shoppers.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using TryShopper, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Delivery-related details are explained in our Shipping & delivery policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Description of service

TryShopper provides an online marketplace-style platform that connects individuals who want personal shopping assistance with independent shoppers who source and deliver items. We facilitate orders, estimates, messaging, and payments where enabled. We are not the seller of goods purchased through the platform unless expressly stated.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must register an accurate account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement and use the service only for lawful purposes.

4. Individuals (customers)

As an individual user, you submit shopping requests and approve estimates and receipts as described in the product flow. You agree to pay authorised charges, including item costs, fees, and delivery charges shown before you confirm, subject to the payment methods we support. For delivery timelines, methods, and related fees, see our Shipping & delivery policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of delivery addresses, instructions, and restrictions (for example allergies or prohibited items). You must not request illegal goods or use the service for fraud or harassment.

Disputes about item quality, substitutions, or delivery should first be raised through our support channels. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

5. Shoppers

Shoppers are independent users who accept and fulfil orders through the platform. Shoppers must complete verification steps we require (which may include identity checks) before accepting certain work. Shoppers agree to source items honestly, provide receipts or proof as we specify, communicate promptly, and deliver in line with order instructions and platform rules.

Shoppers are not employees of TryShopper unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Fees, payouts, and tax reporting are as described in the app and any additional agreements or notices we provide. Shoppers must comply with applicable laws, including those relating to commerce and taxation in Nigeria.

We may suspend or remove shopper access for breach of these terms, fraud, safety concerns, or repeated poor performance.

6. Orders, estimates, and payments

Order flows may include estimates, approvals, and final amounts based on actual receipts. You authorise charges as presented in the app. Refunds and chargebacks are handled according to our policies and payment partner rules. We may hold or release funds to align with order completion and dispute windows.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use TryShopper for illegal items or activities, money laundering, circumvention of sanctions, harassment, malware, scraping that overloads our systems, or impersonation. We may investigate and cooperate with authorities where required.

8. Intellectual property

The TryShopper name, logo, software, and content we provide are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable licence to use the service as intended. You retain rights to content you submit; you grant us a licence to use that content to operate and improve the service.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits or data, except where such exclusion is not allowed. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in fees for the service in the three months before the claim or a nominal amount where no fees applied, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TryShopper and its affiliates, officers, and employees from claims arising from your misuse of the service, breach of these terms, or violation of law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts in Nigeria have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules that apply to you as a consumer.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and, where changes are material, notify you as appropriate. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
