TryShopper helps you shop in Nigeria without the hassle. You can buy from partner stores (collect yourself or add items to a shopper order) or send any list to a vetted personal shopper who buys and delivers. This guide covers both paths.

Set up your account
- Sign up as a customer and add a delivery address in Profile — this sets your state for browsing nearby partner stores.
- Turn on notifications (email, SMS, or push) for order updates and delivery codes.
- Save payment-ready contact details; checkout uses your account email.

Path A — Partner stores (catalogue)
Browse stores — Open Stores from the app. TryShopper shows partner stores in your state; filter by city or search by store name.
View a store — See in-stock products, prices, and the store address. Add items to your cart.
Checkout — When you are ready, choose how to fulfil the order:
A1 — Collect from the store yourself (direct pickup)
- At checkout, choose Store pickup.
- Pay TryShopper — fixed product prices plus the platform fee.
- Open your order — each store block shows a collection code (CL-…) and a pickup ref for support.
- Visit the store, show the collection code at the counter, and collect your items.
- The store confirms in their app; your order slice updates to collected.
You can buy from multiple stores in one checkout; each store gets its own code.
A2 — Add catalogue items to a shopper order (delivery)
- At checkout, choose Delivery with a shopper (or add catalogue lines when creating a personal-shopping order).
- Your shopper receives pickup refs for each partner store — they collect on your behalf.
- You do not use the CL- code yourself in this flow; the shopper marks pickup at the store.
- The rest of the order follows the personal-shopping flow below (estimate → shop → receipts → delivery).
Path B — Personal shopping (custom list)
For market runs, mixed stores, or anything not in a partner catalogue:
- Create a new order and add your list — typed items, photos, or notes.
- Set budget, substitution rules, and delivery address.
- A shopper in your area sends an estimate (goods + transport + service fee).
- Approve and pay the estimate — nothing is final until you do.
- The shopper buys, uploads receipts, and submits the actual total.
- Approve the final total — you may need to pay extra if the basket cost more than the hold.
- When status is En route, track delivery on the map.
- At your door, give the shopper your 4-digit delivery code (shown after final approval) so they can mark delivered.
Payments — what you are charged and when
Catalogue / direct pickup — You pay at checkout. Prices are fixed from the store catalogue plus TryShopper’s platform fee.
Personal shopping — Payment is held when you approve the estimate. The final amount is captured after you approve receipts. If the shop total is lower, the difference is refunded; if higher, you approve an extra payment.

Managing your orders
- Orders list — All active and past orders in one place.
- Order detail — Status stepper, store pickup blocks, shopper contact, and payment actions.
- Extra charges — If a store adds a fee (e.g. substitution), pay it from the order before collection completes.
- Cancel a store slice — Before collection, you or the store can start cancellation; both sides must confirm with the same code.
- Cancel a shopper order — Rules depend on status; early-stage orders can often be cancelled from the order page.
Tips for a smooth experience
- Add a clear delivery address so stores and shoppers match your state.
- For personal shopping, be specific on your list (brand, size, quantity) — see What to put on your shopping list.
- For direct pickup, screenshot your collection code before you leave home.
- Approve receipts carefully — that is when the final charge is set.
- Keep notifications on so you do not miss delivery codes or pickup-ready updates.
Quick comparison
- Direct store pickup — You pay upfront, collect at the store with CL- code, no shopper.
- Catalogue + shopper — Partner items collected by shopper; you still approve estimate and receipts for the full order.
- Custom list only — Full personal-shopping flow; best for markets and open-ended lists.
Whether you are picking up pasta from a partner store or sending a full market list to a shopper, TryShopper keeps payment on-platform and gives you a clear status at every step. Browse stores in your state, or create an order when you are ready.
